CURSE

She was walking on the road
there was no one in sight
there was joy in her heart
She was singing to the night.

There came a group of men,
drunk to the bone.

They maimed her and tamed her
and sped off leaving her alone.

She lay there weeping
helpless and cold
She wanted to scream out her agony
but no words her mouth could hold.

What a curse it is to be born
a woman in this world , She thought.
Morality is all but gone
and humanity's been left to rot.

She was walking on the road
there was no one in sight
there was fear in her heart
She was crying to the night....

Its a pleasant surprise to see a guy write so aptly and beautifully about a women's emotions. The poem was wonderful but i would disagree that it is a curse to be born as a women. Im extremely proud of being one and inspite of the discrimations many women have n will face most of them are happy with being born as women. But the same wouldnt apply to the infants or foetuses which havent been given the opportunity to see this unequal world:) keep writin!
